The Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect everything from individuals to the global economy. The enormous dependency on the Internet throughout the lock down has led to the generation of vast amounts of data to be managed by data center facilities around the world. This data has to be stored somewhere. Fortunately, nearly all of this data resides inn data centers on SSD, HDD and tape storage and these technologies have never been more robust. Tiered storage is the process of determining which of these storage devices to use for which application at a given point in time.
